ARA-290 10mg
ARA-290
CAS: 1234356-69-4
ARA-290 is a non-hematopoietic erythropoietin (EPO) peptide analog that activates the innate repair receptor (IRR) without stimulating red blood cell production. Studied for neuroprotection, peripheral nerve repair, and inflammatory pain. Phase 2 data in sarcoidosis neuropathy.
Specifications
For laboratory research use only. Not for human consumption.
Mechanism of Action
Activates the tissue-protective EPO receptor complex (IRR: EPOR/betacR heterodimer) independently of classical EPOR homodimer. This separation enables tissue-protective and anti-inflammatory effects without hematological EPO side effects.
Research FAQ
Why use ARA-290 instead of EPO for tissue protection?
ARA-290 activates only the tissue-protective IRR receptor, not the classical EPOR homodimer responsible for erythropoiesis and thrombotic risk. This allows neuroprotection research without hematological confounders.
